The City of Bakersfield is currently undergoing nation leading growth in population. According to data put out by the California Dept. of Finance in May 2016, the City of Bakersfield is now the 9th largest city in all of California with a population of 379,110. From 2000 – 2010, Bakersfield was the 10th fastest growing city in the United States with a massive 40% jump in population.

  • From 2010 – 2013 Bakersfield saw increase in millennial growth of 38%, ahead of major cities like Las Vegas and Orlando
